Join us at Dean's on Thursday May 4th for not just short films, but the Best of Extremely Short Films 1998 - 2004 courtesy of Aurora Picture Show, the hippest church in Houston! One-hour of international, award-winning short films under 3 minutes long will be screened. This program is only one of the great things that Aurora Pictures Show does. Another very, very important one is hosting a workshop on how to apply for the Austin Film Society's Texas Filmmakers Production Fund. Director of Artist Services Elisabeth Sikes will be at Aurora Picture Show on Saturday May 6th at 1:00PM to walk filmmakers thru the application process of the Texas Filmmakers Production Fund (TFPF). Every short filmmaker looking for funding should attend this workshop because you will get valuable information and its FREE to attend!

Every first Thursday of the month we will have a FREE screening of award-winning Texas-made short film entries from the Houston Film Commissions Texas Filmmakers Showcase or from other film festivals. The one hour-ish screenings will begin at 9PM at Dean's Credit Clothing, 316 Main Street (between Preston & Congress). Come see some great films that you may never get to see again or to just talk film in the comfort of the hippest venue downtown.
If you can't make it, do the right thing and tell a film making friend. Films subject to change. For more information call 713-437-5249 or e-mail.
