The Third Time's The Charm! Join us at Dean's on Thursday March 4th for our 3rd Short Film Slam! It's been a pleasant surprise since the debut Film Slam last December discovering budding and talented filmmakers from every point of this ginormous city that is Houston. Along with seeing some new short films, there will be FREE Popcorn for everyone to make it a true cinematic experience! Bring your 10 minute or under short film and have it screened with your friends and others in the filmmaker audience. There has to be a few Rules (see below), but it will be fun and entertaining! There is no prize but as a "Film Slam", the audience can vote with their applause or jeers...but all in good fun! The first Thursdays short film evening is always a great networking opportunity or simply a chance to get together with or meet new filmmakers and creative people. This FREE evening is not to be missed because you won't get to see these film anywhere else! Please arrive at 8:00P with your film to sign-in, screening begins promptly at 9:00PMish. RSVP on Facebook

Every first Thursday of the month we will have a FREE screening of Texas-made short film entries from the Houston Film Commissions Texas Filmmakers Showcase or from other film festivals. The one hour-ish screening will begin at 9:00PM at Dean's Credit Clothing, 316 Main Street (between Preston & Congress). Come see some great films that you may never get to see again or to just talk film in the comfort of the hippest venue downtown.
If you can't make it, do the right thing and tell a film making friend. Films subject to change. For more information call 713-437-5249 or e-mail
